Made of glass,
Reflecting your smile
And your frowns,
Playing the game
Just as I think, you want me to
But I am not a mirror...
Not like it matters, nothing does
I'm getting numb as the wind
Pierces through
Drying the kohl filled eyes
Don’t point at me
No longer please
I saw a peacock today
Wished it would leave me a feather or two
Hovering over my eyes
Are the fingers that point
I've tired so hard
To learn
To be
So forgive me for all I'll never be
And maybe someday
I'll forgive myself too.

nice to have u back.
Hemanshu, uve read my poetry before...
*sigh*
Cool Gul :)
soumabh thx. i gotta admit u've spent more time on that comment than i did to come up with that poem! (as is probably quite apparent).... on my way to ur lyrics site..
confuzzled.. thx
Ish- :) thx..the poem was a direct result of the Gul experiencing the blues... as of now im back to being a happy, chripy gal! :)
Poems, fountains of words,
Rise n fall on emotional curves,
Sighs in punctuations,
And screams in a verse!!
I read your comment on Dreamcatcher's blog and a lil repartee ripped through me. I think it is perfectly awwite that you took so long to get a hold of Vishal. After all for a name which means HUGE it would only be just that you would require a huge number of attempts to get a hang of it :-p
Perfect pretext, the next time Vishal asks ya the reason you keep forgetting his name.
:) lol..hey i wish i had that excuse then... ive completely lost touch with that chap unfortunately... its been so long i doubt if we'd even recognise each other if we met again!
really nice verse btw
well.. reading your poetry is something i missed while i was away!! am back now.. more comments to follow!
Wonderful....you've worked long on this one apparently. How about trying some free-flow writing?
